Junior Tour Golf

Our goal is simple…to provide junior golfers with a quality golf competition in a friendly atmosphere.

Not only does the Fore!Kids Foundation produce a PGA TOUR Event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, but we also have a growing Junior Golf Tour.  This year, we have partnered with PGA TOUR professional, Kelly Gibson, and his Feed the Relief, Inc. organization.  The membership consists of boys and girls from the ages 9-22 who reside throughout South Louisiana.  Membership to join the Tour is only $60 and the tournaments are Free, so you can play all summer long for only $60 total. 

In the early 1960s the New Orleans Golf Association started a Junior Golf Tour for local boys and girls in the New Orleans area.  In the mid 1980s the New Orleans Golf Association and the Fore!Kids Foundation merged together to help enhance the youth program.  Members of the New Orleans Golf Association are a big part of this programs success. 

The Junior Golf Tour presented $27,000 in college scholarships in 2009 with the help of the Fore!Kids Foundation, New Orleans Golf Association and the BC Cup (Barry Hogan and Colin Headrick) Foundation.  No other junior golf program in the State or in the Gulf South Region has presented this amount in college scholarships.  The scholarships are based on community service, grade point average and how the scholarship would help the recipients financially with college expenses.  The scholarships are not awarded based on one's playing ability.
