Own a little piece of New Orleans.
Now for sale $7,500 each
Fleur de Lis Fore!Kids was the first public-art display in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. Approximately 40 large fiberglass fleur de lis sculptures adorned the streets of New Orleans.
Conceived as a mode to raise additional funds above and beyond the Zurich Classic for area children's service organizations, the fleur de lis statues remained in public spaces in New Orleans until October. If you've missed your chance at viewing the fleur de lis, don't worry as all 40 are available for viewing in our picture gallery. Call to inquire about availability of each fleur de lis.
The fleur de lis, long a symbol of perfection, light and life, has now come to signify the rebirth of New Orleans around the world. It was for this reason the Fore!Kids Foundation chose the fleur de lis as the project's icon.
In order to achieve the greatest possible product, the Foundation hired Kern Studios to create the four-foot-tall fiberglass statues that were seen around the city in 2007. They then collaborated with the Arts Council of New Orleans to hire local artists to create original works of art surrounding the fleur de lis.
This project enables Zurich, local artists and the Fore!Kids Foundation to join forces in the rebuilding efforts.
Any company or individual interested in purchasing a fleur de lis should call the Fore!Kids Foundation at 504.342.3000. All proceeds directly benefit the Fore!Kids Foundation, which helps to raise money for more than 40 local children's services organizations.
